About the artists

In 2017, two creative minds came together and decided on opening an at home art business, The Bizarre Collection. These two individuals are Rachel Shane and Nathaniel Lawrence. Rachel is a 35 year old woman whose imagination knows no bounds. Her style incorporates abstract surrealism with an eye for color to die for. Most of the time she uses colored pencils for her pieces, but also uses acrylic or oil paints from time to time. Ontop of that, she also offers beautifully decorated masks with swarovski crystals. Nathaniel is a 21 year old agender person with the desire to paint on everything. Typically working with acrylic paint, they paint on a wide variety of surfaces, with a range of style, from fluid artwork, to surrealist portraits, and even photography. Both of the artists work together on a daily basis, inspiring and motivating each other to keep on going. They both see the world in an abstract artsy way and portray that through their artwork, and conveying many themes, including sensitive materials like mental illness. Rachel and Nathaniel just want to share their expressions with the world and hope to inspire others and to really take a look at the world.
